Aislinn Coleman

For Aislinn, yoga is far more than a physical practice. It has been a lifestyle, a loyal friend, a healer and a confidant. Yoga continues to change her life for the better every day, and it is her absolute pleasure and privilege to guide you through this transformative practice as your yoga instructor. Her intelligently sequenced classes are never the same experience twice; each features a unique blend of deep alignment, functional movement and accessible spirituality designed to leave each student feeling strong, clear-headed, balanced and joyful.

Why yoga?
Yoga started as a way to help me sleep and keep me sane during a painful period of recovery. It's since become such an integral part of who I am and how I interact with the world that at this point, I simply can't imagine life without it; yoga saved my life, and continues to enrich every aspect of that life, from my relationship with my body, to stress management, to how I make decisions of all sizes.

Who or what inspires you?
The human body in its seemingly limitless potential inspires me, as well as my teachers both on and off the mat.

Three adjectives that describe you and your teaching style:
Focused. Playful. Refreshing.

Where are you the most fearlessly authentic in your life?
When I practice at home. I laugh at myself, I fall (a lot), I cry shamelessly, I celebrate goofily, I practice being kind to myself... It's a safe haven for me to try, to fail, to try again, and to just be completely myself with no spotlight syndrome, editing, toning down or apologizing.

What is something not a lot of people know about you?
I'm an introvert at heart, and find alone time deeply restorative. I'm very outgoing, but that's actually more a reflection of social skills developed when I skipped a grade and attended three different middle schools than an intrinsically extroverted personality. I really savor time spent on my own, and need lots of it to feel rested and whole.

Aislinn Coleman instructs the following:
  • Sunrise Flow
  • Dynamic flow-based yoga. Recommended for those having a familiarity with Sun Salutations A and Sun Salutations B. Vinyasa flow is a rigorous, athletic yoga practice stemming from the ashtanga tradition. Poses are held for shorter periods of time and will link one breath with motion, creating a dynamic and fluid ‘meditation in motion.’ Expect all vinyasa classes to include sun salutations, pranayama (breath control), flow sequences, focused core work, standing balances, backbends, and hip-openers; intensity of poses will vary depending on class level and instructor. 60 minute class

    Room heated to 85-88 degrees.

  • Deep Yoga
  • This dynamic class is designed to connect you to your physical body and your spiritual ethereal body. Come prepared to witness your experience in this class, because each class is different, we are guided to drop our expectations of yoga and of ourselves. These classes are a unique exploration of how yoga impacts our physical and mental forms both on and off of the yoga mat. You will leave feeling connected, strong, and inspired. Classes are done in a heated or non-heated environment depending on the teacher. Great for all levels.
