Many people ask if I hope to make yoga my career, and I never have an answer. All I can say is that it's what I love. You can call it a hobby, you can call it a passion, but at the end of the day, it's my safeplace. My mat is my home and my closest confidant. I only hope that I can encourage more people to turn to yoga for support and relief from the challenges life throws at us.
Being able to create classes that are fun, creative, and allow opportunity for growth is such an honor- I hope to see you on your mat!
Who or what inspires you?
The Just Be community inspires me! The students are so willing to be open and vulnerable, and the teachers are all masters at holding space and sharing the lessons they've learned with others.
Three adjectives that describes your teaching style:
Authentic. Creative. Empowering.
Where are you the most fearlessly authentic in your life?
Either on my mat or when I write. Both are times where I am forced to be honest and face who I am and what I am going through.
What is something not a lot of people know about you?
I love to read! My favorite books are non-fiction like "Quiet" by Susan Cain and "The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Pollan.
