I was drawn to the mysticism and spirituality of yoga and began practicing via VHS tape in the nineties! After finding a teacher, taking a handful of classes and learning to really breathe I was able to quiet my restless mind and find sleep. It was years (and plenty of practice) later that I experienced an “ah-ha” yet pivotal realization: “I am not my monkey-mind and even better … I can quiet it through focus on the breath!”
I have an insatiable appetite for learning and have completed multiple leadership and yoga teacher trainings. It wasn’t until completing Just Be Yoga’s Teacher Training that I chose to share my love of yoga and healing through teaching. For me, teaching is being the ultimate student. It’s the best kind of practice I’ve ever experienced!

Who or what inspires you?
People who are living their best, fully self-expressed lives inspire me. Genuine love and service for others inspires me. Also ideas: I love a good brainstorm.

Empowering. Learning. Love.


Where are you most fearlessly authentic in your life?
Self-love and acceptance is my life’s work and it is a daily, moment-to-moment practice. When I am my most authentic self I am on my mat: sweating-balls, singing my heart out, and in community.


What is something not a lot of people know about you?
I have a two-year-old son some of my friends call “Blue Ivy”. Also, I have a degree in Medical Anthropology with a focus on Peruvian Shamanism.

Is finding 90 minutes in your day for yoga a challenge? No worries -we offer Power Hour Flow: A condensed; fast paced hot vinyasa practicewith an upbeat vibe. Lengthen, strengthen, tone and breathe,getting the most out of your practice in just 60 minutes of mindfuleffort. ALL Levels, classes are suitable for intermediate students. The basic postures are expanded to include more difficult variations and may be described with less detail. The class will flow at a faster pace.Vinyasa Flow is a dynamic yoga experience and the signature style of Just Be Yoga. The room is heated to 85 to 90 degrees so your body is warmed, allowing for deeper stretching. Teachers vary. Some play music. Some don’t. Be open, willing, and loving. Bring a towel and water bottle. Give yourself permission to rest, modify, or go deeper. Honor your body and your practice.
