Jessica Micheletti

Jessica Micheletti hails from Minnesota, has traveled the world and recalls her first experience volunteering at 7 years old at a soup kitchen in downtown Minneapolis. She worked for 15 years in Public Health and 7 years ago stepped away from government work to teach power vinyasa yoga and explore the facets of a life of service. Jessica is a yogi, runner, retired triathlete, philanthropist, and yoga development consultant. She loves trying new things, wine, and cheese. Upon turning 40 she decided that resistance to cupcakes is futile, but moderation reigns. Rock, rap, and top 40 frequently make appearances in her yoga classes and she loves to share stories about her travels, her family, and really anyone who graces her path. She can find a yogic meaning in almost anything. Each day she wakes up and asks, “How can I serve today?”. She's passionate about guiding others to discover and realize their dreams. Jessica believes in miracles.

Jessica is certified through the Yoga Alliance as a Experienced-Registered Yoga Teacher 500 and is a certified Baptiste Yoga Teacher.

Kelley Denison

I began studying Ballet at the age of 3 and twenty years later found my way to Pilates. Body mechanics always fascinated me. Movement and artistry always inspired me. It wasn't until 2012 that I found Yoga. Actually, Yoga found me. I had experienced a scary life altering event and my friend invited me to a yoga class. We were in camel pose and all of a sudden tears started to pour down my face. It was in that moment that I realized how powerful Yoga can be. And so my Yoga journey began. I am a student of life, a student of yoga and a mindful living enthusiast. I completed my Pilates Certification through Balanced Body and my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification through Just Be Yoga. I have a private Pilates practice downtown Walnut Creek where I teach clients how to "plug in" to their center. I am THRILLED to be a part of Just Be Yoga and the inspiring community.

Why Yoga?
I describe yoga as the umbilical chord that attaches my soul to every day life. It feeds me the nutrients that I need in order to show up and live my most authentic self. Yoga is my teacher of health. It's the thread that ties my mind, body and spirit together. The study of yoga both on and off the mat is a life long journey. The alignment that it offers me keeps my curiosity engaged in a way that no other practice has been able to do. I am a lifelong student of Yoga.

Who or What Inspires You?
Compassion, kindness, joy, fear, forgiveness, trust and faith ALL inspire me. I'm inspired by life and the feeling of being ALIVE.

Three Adjectives that describe you and your teaching style?
Loving. Fluid. Uplifting.

Where are you the most fearlessly authentic in your life?
When I am living from my heart instead of my head. When I am strumming on my Uke or moving my body in a creative way.

What is something not a lot of people know about you?
When I was a kid, I HATED waking up early. I had a bit of an attitude. ;) My Dad was brave enough to wake me up every morning by saying good morning to the trees and the birds outside my window before he would wake me up. Now, I wake up to experience the magic of 4am every day because I choose to. Thanks Dad! :)

This class is a twist on the yogic tradition where students come to practice with a teacher at sunrise. Teachers and students move through traditional sun salutations together and then create a dynamic flow-based class to ambient morning beats to greet the day free and clear. This experience is a great way to connect to the community and your fellow yogi’s. Breathing and moving together reminds us that we are more the same than we are different and through this connection we light up the day! Every class is different yet accessible for all those willing to listen to their body.
